The only way to get a digital connection is either via the Apple TV and Airplay or that Apple Lightning to HDMI adapter. The lightning adapter is a digital connection, where the headphone jack and your audio system are analog. You might consider buying one of these bluetooth receivers that connects to your audio system, and connecting via bluetooth.
