Before anyone gets excited, I'm pretty sure this app is not going to be your OCR app of choice, but it's a new app from the people who developed the SayText app, and it's free today. And it's not so much that the app doesn't have labeled controls, as that the layout and workflow are not particularly conveniently set out for our use, and there is meant to be some interactive adjustment steps, although the app tries to automatically detect edges. The main reason for posting this is so that Sandy and other list members who explore lots of OCR apps can get this to play with it while it's free. SayText, although not so easy to use unless you had already mastered freehand OCR apps with apps like Prizmo, amazingly produced reasonable results at very low light levels if you managed to hold the iPhone camera flat, steady, and aligned at the correct height (which is higher than for most OCR apps, since the app tries to automatically detect the edges of pages.) This app does handle different languages, and there is an instructions guide at the very end of the Settings screen (use four finger tap on bottom half of screen to move there). I havent't really gotten this working at all yet, but it seems to have more possibilities than the earlier DocScanner app from these folks. Not sure whether this will be usable. HTH.
