Hi Anthony, You might have been looking at the wrong DocScanner app since there are 4 of them and when I searched for DocScanner Pro SayText also came up I guess because it's from the same developer.
I typed in DocScanner Pro and tapped search and it was the first search result and it was still free just now. If you only type in DocScanner without the Pro then DocScanner shows up as the first search result and it is $4.99 and I believe it's their older app. There also is DocScanner Classic which is even more at $9.99 and DocScanner Fast which is $2.99.
