Hi Craig,

What situations do you find require a hard reset with the Power and Home
buttons pressed simultaneously for 10 seconds? I started out with an iPod
Touch in 2009, then I had an iPhone 4 for a year and my 4S for the last 2
years and I think I probably had to use this about twice in all that time. I
am curious what causes your iPhone so bad that you can't do a normal reset
by turning off the phone and turning it back on. If you lose speech because
the volume drops to 0 there are better ways to fix this then to do a hard
reset.

Regards,

Sieghard

Subject: Hard resets and voice over

Hello all,

When resetting my iPhone using the hard reset (pressing the top button and
the home button at the same time for a few seconds), many times the voice
over function will not come back on. I will then need sighted assistance to
go through the settings menu to turn voice over back on.

Is there any way to avoid this, or is this simply a bug in the operating
system?

Thank you,

Craig
