in settings under sounds there is a volume with buttons command. you can
choose to turn that on or off. if you have it off each volume will be
same..

Thanks, Gerardo. Basically, what you're saying is that the only way to
adjust everything at once is to have it all active at once, then use the
buttons to adjust the volume. ,Otherwise, only the volume for the current
sound will be adjusted. Do I have that right?

volumes: that of Voiceover which you use while the phone is speaking, move
the up and down volumes, and that of the genral system which you work
while the Iphone isn't doing anything, move the up/down volume. Good luck!

alerts set to be adjusted with them. I also have taken VO volume out of
the rotor. However, it seems these things adjust themselves independently
of each other. I'd like to make the volume buttons function as a 'master
