This is the only contact I have this problem with. A slight change to my initial post. I was able to reply to one of my friends texts he sent me. So the situation is that I cannot send texts to my friend from my iphone. I can send everyone else in my contact list an text, no problem at all. Sometimes I can send my friend a text but it is a hit or a miss. Yet I can reply to him when he sends a text. I have fully deleted his information and set it up again. I am puzzled as to why I can reply to his text and not able to iniate the text at all times? Hope this makes sense. Or are you using your Wi-Fi, both of these things or one of these things needs to be on in order for your eye messages to come through and go out. The other thing is is that your Sellier signal could either being too low or too much basically it overpowers the Internet.
