Sounds first strange, sounds like to meet with me need to make a telephone call to Apple or do the following first backup your iPhone and iTunes and let's do a complete restore and see if that works from there. If not make a call to Apple or go to your local Apple store because I went down there couple weeks ago because I was having an issue with battery and that was other people that were having the same issue with text messages. And I might give you a new phone. But I hope so I listed above fixes your problem.
