For those who may know a bit more about the technical processes involved, when pressing the sleep/power button and the Home button at the same time for 10 seconds as Chris suggested, is this equivalent to a proper shutdown and reboot, or is this the same as forcing a shut down by pressing and holding the power button on a Windows computer? If this is an illegal powering down of the iPod, this of course risks the stability of the OS.
Also, this process Chris suggested does not result in a restart of my iPod Touch 5th gen with VoiceOver talking. At this point I have no sound and have no idea what my iPod is doing. Guess I should have waited for more feedback before taking action on the suggestion--especially since I know better. :) Joseph ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kramlinger, Keith G., M.D." <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, August 30, 2013 4:44 PM Subject: RE: How to "Reboot" an IOS Device Does this still run the risk in some devices of turning off VO? -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Chris H Sent: Friday, August 30, 2013 6:21 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: How to "Reboot" an IOS Device Press and hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together for at least ten seconds.
