Hi Andy, I agree and probably wouldn't want a much bigger phone, either, however, you do have to consider that for many sighted people a larger screen is hugely attractive. I think there is an absolute limit as to how large a screen/phone can be and still be practical as a handheld device which one can easily carry around and I would say that 6 inches is the absolute maximum, but 4.8 or 5 inches is much better and for most people probably sufficient. However, there still is a big difference even between a true 6 inch screen or maybe 5.7 or 5.8 and the iPad Mini which in fact has a 7.9 inch diagonal screen, so basically an 8 inch size. If a phone was 5.8 or something like that that would be a full 2 inches which makes a huge difference as to actual length and width.
I agree with Christopher that probably as early as next year we will see a bigger iPhone, probably 4.8 inches give or take a bit and at that point I also think it is very likely that Apple will continue with a smaller 4 inch iPhone at least for a while, after all, there are also 2 iPads and many people argued that an iPad Mini makes no sense yet it has become hugely popular. Now there is even talk about an iPad maxi as a third iPad with a 13" or 14" screen possibly as early as next year. I guess we shall see. Only one thing is for sure and that is that the demand for mobile touch devices is growing hugely and that we will probably see all sorts of things some of which being successful and some not. Laptops are available in anything from 11 inches to 18 inches, Netbooks came and went and just like that some mobile devices will come and go.
