True, most people don't use their thumbs for Braille reading, but then
there's that silly thing called life that keeps getting in the way of one's
perfectly coiffed digits.

Remember what sets us apart from other animals is the fact that we do have
opposable thumbs, hence we tend to use our thumbs more than any other finger
in our repertoire.

In addition, with us being blind, we use our hands more than most people, so
callouses are pretty much a sure thing for us, regardless of which digit we
use to read Braille.

Of course, you do realize that the "reading Braille" was just an example of
the various things we do with our fingers don't you?

I mean, I wasn't being that obtuse, was I?  Smiles.
