The funny thing is, I always hold my iPhone in my left hand as I'm right handed and so I use my iPhone with my right hand. I never hit the home key with my thumb. I figure, they don't call it a thumb scanner, they call it a finger print scanner. <grin> So my thanks to Ricardo for my morning chuckle.

Hi Ricardo,

True, most people don't use their thumbs for Braille reading, but then there's that silly thing called life that keeps getting in the way of one's perfectly coiffed digits.

Remember what sets us apart from other animals is the fact that we do have opposable thumbs, hence we tend to use our thumbs more than any other finger in our repertoire.

In addition, with us being blind, we use our hands more than most people, so callouses are pretty much a sure thing for us, regardless of which digit we use to read Braille.

Of course, you do realize that the "reading Braille" was just an example of the various things we do with our fingers don't you?

I mean, I wasn't being that obtuse, was I? Smiles.
