I mean absolutely no offense, but you really have to read documentation and
understand what has changed before jumping to conclusions. I will address your
5 points and explain what I mean.

1. In Accessibility settings, turn on, reduce motion. This will speed up the
speed of the phone with VoiceOver.

2. Yes, VoiceOver sounds are different. You are basing your recommendation on
personal opinion. Like anything else, you get used to them. Change is not
always comfortable for folks, but human beings tend to adapt to change in the
long run. I have already.

3. There is a separate control for silencing VoiceOver sounds independently or
having them remain on.

4. I think point 1 might help with the focus issues. Not sure though because I
haven’t experienced this myself.

5. Again, your opinion. There are a lot of changes to the interface that make
iOS 7 worth the upgrade. The handwriting feature, the 4-finger double tap to
start VO practice mode, the Control Center, the new layout to Calendars and
Reminders, the new SIRI voices and the expansion of what you can do with SIRI,
and several others. Learn about iOS 7 and use it for a few weeks before
jumping to conclusions in 24 hours of use.

It’s funny how I read posts like this with every iOS upgrade and Mac
upgrade. I know for a fact I still haven’t learned all of the new things yet
and am discovering changes every time I use my iPhone and iPad.
