Hi, this happened to me one time so it could be possible for you. When you
take your earbuds out you have to remember to turn your volume up because
the volume goes lower with the earbuds in. Or you turn the volume down
because if the sound would be too loud if it were up so be sure you turn
your volume up, that happened to me and I couldn't figure out why didn't

Sounds like you flipped the mute switch on. Make sure the slider on the
side of the phone at the top is slid all the way to the front. There's
also the Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> voice Over On -> Use
sound effects option. Make sure this is turned on.
