You are correct, I actually went into the music app earlier and I could have
sworn I could double tap artist, see a list of albums and then swipe down to
delete one. But, as you said, all songs are now listed for an artist with
albums just being headings and I agree that one should be able to delete an
artist or an album all at once.

The steps you outline in the following message for deleting albums worked in
the music app before IOS 7. But now, at least on my iPhone 5, if I had Dire
Straits as an artist, I would tap on it, and it would say album art for
brothers in arms, with its songs listed, followed by album art for love over
gold, with its songs listed. It no longer shows each individual album in
its own folder, so that it can be deleted as an album. I can delete
individual songs by swiping down to delete, but not an album as a whole. If
I were to go to the more tab, select albums, and find either brothers in arms
or love over gold, the situation would be the same.I can not swipe down to
delete when focused on the album name, I only can delete individual songs
within the album. Right now, I do not have an album that I wish to delete
song by song until they are all deleted to see if the folder for it still
would be there, or if it would disappear once all songs were deleted. I do
not have show all music checked in settings. The restructuring of the music
app is one of the few things I definitely do not like better in IOS 7.
Overall, I think IOS 7 is much better.
