Hi Caitlyn,

Upgrading from an iPad 2 to the iPad Air would be some improvement, but I
would not be too hasty if your iPad 2 works well. The retina display is most
likely of little value to you and while it will be faster, it is not like
you will notice a knock you off your socks sort of difference especially
with every-day tasks. What you will notice the most is how it's thinner and
definitely significantly lighter. If you have a 3G iPad 2 and use it with a
SIM and if you plan to do so with an iPad Air and live in an area where you
have great LTE then you would also notice a big difference here.

I upgraded from a 4S to a 5S and I would probably compare upgrading from an
iPad 2 to an ipad Air roughly with that phone upgrade. Is the 5S nice? Yes,
t's very nice, but so was my 4s. Is it fast? Yes, but when I do normal stuff
like checking email, making phone calls, listening to Audible books, using
the camera for object recognition and so on the difference is not huge.
People who upgrade from a 4 to a 5S or from an original iPad to an iPad Air
will notice a much much bigger difference, but if your iPad works well you
could probably very happily use it for another year and then supgrade. I
would not be surprised if we saw an ipad Pro next year with a 12 or 13 inch
screen and I would also not be surprised if Touch Id found its way to the
iPads next fall as well.

Regards,
Sieghard
