Hello Andrea, Well, I guess it all depends on what you are doing with your iPad. As for Netbooks, I bought one a few years back and was impressed at first, it was small if not thin, but the battery life was good. But the thing was slow and I guess there is a reason why Netbooks came and went without leaving much of an impact.
I personally could not do without a laptop, I live in Excel for business reasons and use other specialized Windows software. Even if I want to do a lot fo stuff online and do it very fast, Jaws and Windows for somebody who has been using it for 24 years is hard to beat. A few things I love to do with apps, like booking hotels, looking up Trip Advisor reviews and so on, but while I'd love to have an iPad Mini, I can't see it as a laptop or even desktop replacement any time soon.
