Hi, actually what I do is create lists based on certain twitter accounts whose messages I want to read. News, notifications, ETC, and I don't follow them. If I followed the accounts who are in lists I would get their tweets twice as it were. So, if a twitter account is on my list, I don't follow it. That way my time line is only filled by the ones I'm actually following, which are usually individuals. When I switched to lists on Twitter I dropped the accounts I was following by over 50 percent.

You are talking about lists. The problem is that tweets which get sorted into
different lists don't get moved out of your main timeline, so you'd have to
sort every person you follow. If you didn't, you'd have to wade through tweets
you already read in different lists to find the ones that are not sorted. Just
something to think about. As to whether Twitterrific supports this, I'm not
sure, but I thought it did, if you look in the main menu (the button in the top
left).

I've been a happy Twitterrific user for some time, but as I follow more and
more people, I'm finding it difficult to keep up with all the tweets if I don't
have a lot of time. I'd like to be able to separate those I follow in to
different categories, which, I gather, is what the tweetlist app is suppose to
be really good for. Can this be done in twitterrific and I'm just missing it
somehow? Or is tweetlist the way to go for this feature?
