The two apps I can think of are popular ones. VizWhiz would allow you
to take a picture and record a question, but it takes a little while
to get an answer back, so I'm not sure how helpful that would be if
you need to check the meters constantly. TapTapSee would allow you to
take a picture and you have a decent chance that they'll tell you the
setting, such as would be the case for someone wondering what their
thermostat is set to. However, more likely than not, the people behind
the scenes of TapTapSee would not know how to read the meters you take
a picture of and would just say it is a meter or something. Those are
the only ones I come up with off the top of my head, however. I don't
think my answer is of much help, but it may help others brainstorm
further. Good luck with the job!
