taptapsee does charge for pictures. their is not somewhere you could go to
find this on the computer?

The two apps I can think of are popular ones. VizWhiz would allow you to
take a picture and record a question, but it takes a little while to get
an
answer back, so I'm not sure how helpful that would be if you need to
check
the meters constantly. TapTapSee would allow you to take a picture and you
have a decent chance that they'll tell you the setting, such as would be
the case for someone wondering what their thermostat is set to. However,
more likely than not, the people behind the scenes of TapTapSee would not
know how to read the meters you take a picture of and would just say it is
a
meter or something. Those are the only ones I come up with off the top of
my
head, however. I don't think my answer is of much help, but it may help
others brainstorm further. Good luck with the job!

I am looking at a dispatcher position for a fire department. I've
dispatched for a long time and am all about creativity when it comes
to getting a job done. One of the requirements, you have to read 2
different meters for fire alarm circuits to get voltages. In our
technologically advanced world, there has to be a way this could be
done. With all the apps out there, can anyone think of a way to do
this? It's older equipment, but I would guess there has to be a way
to take a picture of the meter in question.
Any thoughts on this?
