The two apps I can think of are popular ones. VizWhiz would allow you to take a picture and record a question, but it takes a little while to get an answer back, so I'm not sure how helpful that would be if you need to check the meters constantly. TapTapSee would allow you to take a picture and you have a decent chance that they'll tell you the setting, such as would be the case for someone wondering what their thermostat is set to. However, more likely than not, the people behind the scenes of TapTapSee would not know how to read the meters you take a picture of and would just say it is a meter or something. Those are the only ones I come up with off the top of my head, however. I don't think my answer is of much help, but it may help others brainstorm further.
