For a visually impaired person, perhaps. For a totally blind one, none. I'm going to post about my experiences to my blog soon, but long story short, I just recently gave mine away because for me personally, the iPhone and iPad were redundant. To each his own, but if it's an educational setting with a limited budget, I wouldn't do it.
