Hi Robert, When we purchased an iPad for my wife, I really didn't plan to use it that much. We got the new iPad Mini. Like you, I now love listening to audio, anything from music to radio streams, books and sporting events. Having the new Radium App which allows access to XM content is wonderful. And I'm really impressed with the battery life. Last Sunday, I had charged our unit in the morning. My wife used it for a while before I took it over for the afternoon football games. I'm guessing when I started using it, the battery level may have been at around 98%. I had the unit running non-stop for 4 hours, I made no adjustments in settings to conserve battery life, VO was running. I checked the battery after 4 hours of continuous use, and it was at 88%. As it ran down about 2 to 3% per hour,I'd say this is really outstanding. The unit was in a locked state, so perhaps that helped.
