Candy, I like Nebulous Notes as well. I just bought the non-ad-sponsored version to support the developer.
I want to thank everyone who has contributed to this thread. I welcome additional thoughts. In a couple of days, I plan to send a summary of my findings to the list. So far, I have looked at Nebulous Notes, Notesy, Droptext, and Write 2.
