I have not yet have had such a message with the Apple cable that came with my phone. I also have 2 long 10 foot Lightning cables from www.Monoprice.com and 1 AC wall adapter with a 6-foot Lightning cable already attached, all of these were around $10 or $12 each and all of them work well.

I think the reason they did this was to thwart unlicensed cables. I had a few generic fcables and a Chinese battery pack. Once iOS 7 came out they all stopped working, giving me that message, which I still get occasionally with my Apple cable. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Caitlyn and Maggie Sent: Friday, February 07, 2014 8:05 AM To: [email protected] Subject: weird message about charging cable on i phone 5c I had this weird thing happen to me this morning when trying to charge my i phone 5c. when I attached the cable to charge it, it popped up this message that said, "this cable or accessory is notcertified and might not work on this i phone." thing is, this is the same cable it came with, and I've been using it to charge my phone for months now! I've turned off the phone and am now charging it another way, using my power pack, but does anybody know anything about this message?
