What functions are you looking for your iPhone to do? There are so many educational apps out there, I'm afraid you'll have to narrow it down a bit. To give examples, though, I use my iPhone to: *take notes via Pages *check grades and assignments via Blackboard Mobile *read assignments with TTS via Voice Dream *read textbooks and assigned readings via BARD Mobile, Learning Ally, Voice Dream, and Librivox *keep up with school blogs via Lire (RSS Reader) *study vocabulary and phrases via G Flash Plus *Check foreign words and phrases via English to French Dictionary and English to Indonesian Dictionary *Type faster on the go with Fleksy (great for those last minute assignments after I've put the Bluetooth keyboard or Braille display away)
Really, the list could go on for quite some time. I bought my iPhone with financial aid because it is primarily for school and I haven't regretted the purchase. It is a great tool! A word of warning: You'll want a battery pack or case, or else have the iPhone plugged in for long-term uses.
