Hello Paul, Place the iPhone with the Home button to the right and with the camera facing down through the hole. The phone should be parallel to the front edge of the StandScan, about half an inch in. Test that the position is correct by scanning a page. When the results are good, place the stickers in suitable places against the phone so that you can position it correctly in future.
