Hi Terrie and Don, The aids I am trying out send all of VoiceOver's speech through the aids. It's like using a bluetooth headset. Now, the sounds from the iPhone such as notification alerts and the ringing of the phone when calls come in go through the iPhone speaker. Apple hasn't implemented phone sounds to go through hearing aids. As for using a streamer, I don't use one, although I know a VO user who does use a streamer with her aids. This is all very new for me, so I don't know a lot yet, but I hope to get these working properly on Monday when I meet with my audiologist.
