Hi John,

I think this is one case where you have your opinion and we have ours and we'll 
just have to agree that we disagree. Not much point in saying you are right 
since there is no way to proof that it is so. Just because you never had 
problems with an  upgrade not doing this doesn't mean somebody who had problems 
might not have avoided them by doing it.
It's a bit like upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 8. Microsoft may make it 
possible to upgrade, but I would never do it and the only way I ever upgrade 
from one major version of Windows to another is by doing a complete fresh 
install and in the same way I will always do a Reset All Network Settings or at 
least a reboot of my device after removing all apps from the app switcher 
before doing any sort of iOS update.
