OK, last try before a complete hard-disk format:

I just reset everything. The * machine, the old PBX and the NT(BA)s. I
also changed the PCI-port the card hangs in (but there's no difference
noticeable on that, so I assume everything is fine with the PCI-port).

The PBX and the HFC-card are connected directly to the NT(BA). Card
ports are all in TE mode.
What I found out:
When I run visdn_configurator, the card gets set-up "properly". But all
the LEDs show a green indication. When I now dial the systems freezes...

Back to start, all systems rebooted.

Again I get the green indication. The LEDs only change to red when I
"occupy" a line with the old PBX. The line used makes the specific LED
change to red indicating a active Layer1. Now I can dial (multiple
times) without a system freeze, but I still get the "DLC is
disconnected" message in the CLI.
This lets me assume that the drivers/ Asterisk-system are not able to
switch to layer1 nor get a TEI assigned.

What module/ driver part is responsible for the TEI assignment or the
activation of layer1? Might see a chance of pin-pointing a possibly
mal-installation that way. THX for your help in advance.
