tcpip 510 hipersocket and vlan

Hi: Do real hipersockets support VLANs on VM TCPIP 510? The doc. seems 
to indicate so, and my tcpip configuration file runs clean, but I get a 
DTCOSD308E message (again to my annoyance  "OSD" - it's a hipersocket 
not an OSA!). The DTCOSA308E message information is close to useless. I 
know that this will work with a guest lan type hipersocket but my goal 
is to have multiple lpars on one hipersocket with vlans. Any ideas? This 
is on a z800.
