Funny how that worked out, isn't it?  It's almost as if we knew at the 
time that VLAN support in HiperSockets was coming...   ;-)

What else should it say?  You specified VLAN and the device doesn't 
support it.  TCP/IP doesn't know *why* the device doesn't support it, but 
only that it rejected the stack's attempt to set a VLAN id.  There's no 
other information to give.
