Hi, Larry.

First, welcome to the VM community and this listserv. I think you'll
find the folks here extremely friendly and helpful.....

Installing z/VM 5.2, say, as a guest of z/VM 5.1 is called "doing a
second level installation". The installation steps are described in
the IBM publication " Guide for Automated Installation and Service"
(GC24-6099-01), in Chapters 3 and 7.

You can find this publication on the IBM publications web site at:
http://www-03.ibm.com/servers/eserver/zseries/zos/bkserv/zvmpdf/zvm51.html
The edition listed there is for z/VM 5.1, but I suspect that in a day or
two there will be a version for 5.2 as well.

Good luck and if you have any more concerns or questions, don't hesitate
to ask. We're here to help......
