Larry,

As said in all the other posts: Welcome to the VM Community!

Your next order of business should be to get your management to send you
to SHARE, the largest mainframe USER conference in the world. The timing
may be advantageous, the next SHARE is in Seattle, March 5-10. There will
be user-lead sessions about every corner of z/VM (including on
installation and customization), and about Linux, along with z/OS and
many, many other categories. Do yourself and your installation a favor,
take a few minutes to surf on over to:
   http://www.share.org/

vm newbie

I'm am very new to z/vm,so please bear with me. I've dealt with mvs for
years but have no real knowledge of vm. We have 5.1 installed on our z/890
(not by me) and we are running linux servers under it. Agasin no knowledge
of linux. Isn't it fun I'm learning 2 sytems at once. Z/VM v 5.2 is
becoming ga 'ed today. I've heard that there is an improvement on memory
usage and so I should install it. I've read that you can install vm under
vm and then move the needed mods over. I've gone to the vm resource area
at IBM and pulled installation instructions for vm but they look to be for
a fresh install. Where are instruction for a vm under vm ? Will these
include What needs to be done after the install. Any and all help is
greatly appreciated.
thanks
