This thread seems to be a bit ironic (for me anyway).  Before I started using Linux, about 5 years ago, I had used windows with it's GUI, etc.  Prior to Windows, it was DOS.  I'm sure some of you remember having to install DOS first, before you could install Windows.  When I started using Linux, I struggled with getting it going. I never had any kind of *nix experience.  The commands seem somewhat odd in structure, not to mention other nuances of *nix.  But I persisted and though I'm no Linux guru, I can accomplish most tasks on the first try.
It seems like Mark Post or someone had a quote:
" If you have any trouble sounding condescending,  find a unix user to show you how it's done."
This seemed to be true when I posted questions to various *nix lists.
Now we have *nix sys admins (this it not directed at anyone specifically on this list) struggling with VM.
I think it speaks rather highly of this VM list, of our willingness to help.   I wonder how warmly we would have been received if we would have taken the attitude
of some *nix individuals (again, not directed to anyone specifically on this list).
'nough said.
