I use a simple EXEC like the following: /* XF - Xedit a file into the same ring as FILELIST */
Address 'XEDIT' 'EXTRACT /FNAME/FTYPE/FMODE' 'XEDIT' Arg(1) If ftype.1 = 'FILELIST' Then 'XEDIT' fname.1 ftype.1 fmode.1 Exit This XF EXEC was written with FILELIST in mind but also works with MACLIST although slightly differently. In FILELIST, you can place XF on a line and the file corresponding to that line will be placed in the same XEDIT ring as the FILELIST and then XF returns to the FILELIST display (which is what the following statement If ftype.1 = 'FILELIST' Then 'XEDIT' fname.1 ftype.1 fmode.1 does). This is great for when you want to put several related files in the same XEDIT ring. Then it's easy to jump from one file to another and/or exploit XEDIT's SCREEN command. Hope this helps. Is there a way to rotate to each member with getting out of each? Can I jump to a specific member? Thanks, Ed Martin Aultman Health Foundation 330-588-4723 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ext. 40441
