*Caught*! I should have known! ;)

The update today was to add the  "DEFINE PERLSHR..." stuff in vms/test.com;
the same stuff I posted a patch for this morning.

I put it in the VMSMISC consolidated patch, and remove fiddling with
the same definition in the VMSPIPE patch so that the patches wouldn't
conflict.

My (and one of Craig's) patches are gathered into 4 "big" patches:
VMSMISC ...lots of little miscellaneous patches, combined...
    VMSPIPE ...the piping changes...
VMSSOCK ...fix Perl's "print" to a socket on VMS
TZ ...TZ fix for pre7.0 systems

The patches are generally the ones that I've found necesary to get
5.6.0 to build and test cleanly, as well as run certain applications
such as CPAN.PM.

I'd like to get them into 5.6.1, but I'm leery of submitting them to
p5p without some broad consensus that they really do what they're
supposed to. It's all too easy to trip over AXP/VAX, VMS 6.2-7.2 and
compiler differences, unfortunately.

One clear result is that running CPAN.pm will help you find
problems...particularly in File::* modules. But so far the piping
stuff has been pretty clean.
