Yes, I do recommend it because it has an install 1 rating, but it won't help you with the problem under discussion. I have it installed and it made no difference. We can rule that out as a factor since you have it and I don't but we both see the same behavior. So the two data points where the hang occurs are pre-EV6 systems, with or without XFC, with or without the RMS ECO. I suspect Perl and MMK are innocent victims here and there is something wacky about one of the performance enhancements in 7.3-1. Proving that is probably over my head but I'll try to post sufficient reproducer details to c.o.v and see if one of the engineers picks it up.
