No, like an idiot I didn't save that error message. I'll try and recreate it.
I just noticed something else wonky: in the perl/t directory there are a lot of temporary files:

that are not being deleted properly. The file which was created 188 times contains just the strings:

so I don't know which test is not cleaning up after itself.
