Thanks to you all, but it still does not work. I do not even dream of getting an XDMCP session operational, and for my new friend Andreas, I tried the xhost + but thing remains the same : connection remains refused by server. Security issue, but where the hell from ? I have a mandrake 8.2 with kernel 2.4.18-6, out of the box. :( best regards to you all ...

Hello, here the main line: > AUDIT: Mon Jul 29 19:32:56 2002: 3939 Xvnc: client 1 rejected from local > host > Xlib: connection to ":1.0" refused by server Xlib: Client is not authorized > to connect to Server xrdb: Can't open display ':1' Try xhost + as root, this should help. This allows everyone to make a connection to your XServer - so only in private network a good idea. If you are in a bigger network, you can specify a host by name to be allowed. Look at the man page for details. Hope this helps...
