Hello gurus, I still have problem accessing a VNC server (RealVNC 3.3.6) running in a Win2K server. I access the server from a Win2K client running RealVNC 3.3.6.
Before any user logins, I enter the server's hostid and valid password. VNC replies: VNC authentication failed! After any user login into the server, I access the server OK. In order to omit any local problems, I reinstalled RealVNC 3.3.6 from www.realvnc.com I have also checked the registry settings for ATT VNC 3.3.3R2, and found that logon.scr is missing from RealVNC 3.3.6 registry settings, so I addedd it to VNCHooks\Application_Prefs. I have also set DebugMode to 2, and DebugLevel to 12. Just to be sure, I rebooted the server. The problem still persists. Attached you will find WinVNC.log and registry excerpts from the server. I have modified the client's IP address to 1.2.3.4 Any hints will be greatly appreciated.
