to block certain ip's from accessing the server, do i have...
registry entry for that myself? if so would would it look ...
AuthHosts REG_SZ -68.100 (to block the entire 68.100.0.0 network)?

i just gave it a try and its not working, someone from 68.100.220.143 was
able to connect, i must have done something wrong...
