The main problem (I guess) is that you're going to have a job getting an ssh library that will build/run on windows without loading something like cygwin. It's not a good idea to implement ssh *in* VNC, since you're going to have to maintain it (ssh implementations invariably have some bugs), which would be quite a job. Some of the windows flavours of ssh have builtin encryption, but implementing encryption properly isn't easy. I wouldn't like to bet any money on a non-crypto specialist getting it even halfway right. Can somebody who knows more than I do comment on the feasibility of adding openssh-based encryption to RealVNC and retaining the present portability? -- Illtud Daniel [EMAIL PROTECTED] Uwch Ddadansoddwr Systemau Senior Systems Analyst Llyfrgell Genedlaethol Cymru National Library of Wales Yn siarad drosof fy hun, nid LlGC - Speaking personally, not for NLW _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
