Depends, where did you put this registry setting?  Did you restart the VNC
server after adding the value?

It may not apply, but the AuthHosts setting doesn't prevent people from
getting to the HTTP server and getting the applet (though they still can't
connect to the RFB server).

Oh, and while AuthHosts is convenient, it is not a substitute for good
firewalling and/or secure tunneling.
