Yes, I believe so. At least, the task manager shows graphs for the
performance of 4 cpus (which was very puzzling until I learned of
hyperthreading). The performance of VNC is no faster on this machine (in
terms of screen updates) than the other servers, neither does it seem slower
. The limiting constraint seems to be the speed of my remote connection. The
machine itself is impressively fast (well it impressed me, anyway), so the
applications themselves run more quickly than similar apps on the other
servers. The screen resolution is 1024x768, with 256 colors.
