Ouch, fell into my own "didn't give enough info" trap, didn't I? :)
I'm using TightVNC server version 1.2.8 on a RedHat Linux 9.0 install as my server. My X environment on the RedHat box is the default BlueCurve, which I believe is based on Gnome, IIRC. I've tried both the TightVNC 1.2.8 and RealVNC 3.3.7 clients on my Windows 2000 box here at work as the client. I am able to copy from the VNC server from multiple applications, including a shell, Star Office, Mozilla, etc. and paste them here in my windows Notepad or Word. Haven't tried other Windows apps. I am unable to figure out how to copy from Notepad, Word, Internet Explorer, etc. and paste into the RedHat bash shell or Star Office in the VNC server.
