I having trouble connecting a Mac OS-X machine to a VNC server. The VNC
server is running on a Windows 2000 Pro machine. This machine is accessible
and works fine from other Windows machine by both VNC Client and by Java.
The Mac can connect to and mount shared devices on this server via the Mac
program 'Dave' so I know that it can find the machine. When attempting to
connect to the VNC server from the Mac, we get a message simply saying that
it can't find the server. We have tried connecting by both VNC of the Sea
and Java. Both get the same error.
We obviously have some network setting incorrect in the Mac but not know
much at all about the Mac, I can't spot it.
