The thing is, AT&T has a super fast network, and they only use VNC
inside their own buildings. They were nice enough to release it under
the GPL, but they have no interest in improving it further - it already
does what they need. I have seen people from AT&T post here, but very,
very rarely. You can contact them through their website, however.
