Have you checked to be sure it's not the Norton Anitvirus email scanning
doing it?

We have 6-10 calls a day from clients with the same issues. As to the
statement, "Well if the webmail can download it than
it's not our server's fault", this is a very hollow excuse. Apparently
OE is
more strict in the requirements for the message that the object used by
Webmail. Apparently VOP/Modus is letting messages through that it
shouldn't
or is not making corrections to the message format. I say this because
we
have two other non-Vircom mail servers here, that process 4 time the
mail we
do on the Modus server. We have never had a stuck message from any of
those - never!

The only difference is the server Vircom vs. non-Vircom. I know this
problem has been known to Vircom for over a year - and I am still
waiting
for a fix to the product

We too talk to at least 7 to 10 people a day with this problem. We've
identified a few known spam message and blocked those addresses at our
mail
gateway, but there is still a lot of "stuck email". We've talked to
tech
support about this and get the, "Well if the webmail can download it
than
it's not our server's fault." I can understand that to a point, but I
can
shove these exact same emails thru another server and it works fine with
the
same clients, so something is not right.

I'd love to see some real suggestions come along.
