Heya Jeff, Why does Vopmail require UDP port 1028 ?? I will try and open it now and see if it makes a difference. Once we opened it, all the mail started to flow Make sure your vop mail server is getting inbound 1028 UDP Jeff ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mark Eckert" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, February 19, 2003 15:09 Subject: [VOPmail Beta] how * This is the vopmailbeta mailing list * Hi Steve, I can't seem to send to msn.com either and had thousands of msn.com messages in my holding queue. There doesn't seem to be anyone to contact at msn.com to find out why either. I couldn't even telnet to their mail server port and get a greeting. I suspected it was some kind of blocking in place but we are not blacklisted anywhere else and our mail server has never been open to relay. We did have a permanent modem user leave their mail server open for relay for several days on the same C-class as our mail server so that concerns me, but there is no way for me to check. I have about 20 customers who's emails are not getting to msn.com customers. I have looked in the log and find nothing. However under the Holding file under the folder marked msn there is file called domain and here is what is in it: Domain-name: msn.com Last-tried: 1045642485 Try-number: 39 Last-failure-reason: Did not receive SMTP greeting from host Mx-host: smtp-gw-4.msn.com Mx-preference: 20 Mx-status: 0 Mx-expires: 1045644844 Mx-ip-address: 207.46.181.13 This has been going on for just over 2 days! Any ideas and is anyone else seeing this? Steve Drenner MidwayNet / Midway Electronics Inc.
