[VOPmail Beta] what is the "protocol filter"

On the control interface that is called the message filter. When it says protocol, I assume it means SMTP, POP, IMAP, etc. I have not had that portion of logging turned on before and have just noticed it. The ERR log indicates that it is is using the spmflt01.txt filter by saying:   << 554 Filtered out by Filter 0 because "Subject" =   But this is different.
